Kinkaider Tap Room
This popular Broken Bow-based brewery opened its first Lincoln location in 2020 in the Historic Haymarket District. Our architects and Foodlines foodservice designers remodeled the space and created an outdoor dining and seating area.
Then, we continued our partnership with the owners as they opened Lincoln’s first distillery, Sideshow Spirits, where we designed the tasting room.
The planning and design of Holmes Golf Course included private seating areas for up to 150 people for rental purposes, a commercial kitchen that can be used for catering, a bar, outdoor dining, a pro shop, and staff areas. The 6,500 SF building was designed on a site where clear views to the tee boxes were needed for the staff, but views to the rest of the golf course and a framed view to the State Capitol were also a significant part of the design process.
In keeping with that theme, we wanted to create a welcoming and festive environment. The in-depth project has many aspects, but a critical element was incorporating hand-painted murals and their artistry into the renovation. Also, notice the red accents and diamond shapes.
(now Lazlo’s)
One of Lincoln’s most popular restaurants was remodeled to provide a larger waiting area and bar and an updated dining layout. Existing stairs to the second level were removed, adding much-needed space back into the bar area. The bar was relocated and reconfigured, and a stained concrete bar top was added, providing an urban feel to the space. The back bar wall was designed with a translucent material that is internally lit to highlight liquor bottles. Contemporary light fixtures complete the new urban image of the bar. During the cosmetic remodel of the first-floor dining room and bar, the lower-level kitchen was also completely remodeled to increase efficiency and productivity.
